I believe in SPI because I believe in the power of community. One person may be able to change a few minds and hearts, but a community of believers can change the world. As a person who grew up in the Appalachians I have seen the importance of community. I dream of a community who believes in each other and in the power of love to create a different reality!

I was drawn to the Sisters by the pretty colors, glitter, irreverent humor, and the expiation of my own stigmatic guilt. I’m queer, nonbinary, I’ve never fit in anywhere, except with a bunch of clowns! My favorite part of being a Sister is seeing people at Pride getting to experience being themselves in a safe space without judgement, living in that universal joy that we all strive to spread.
Oh and I love a big pickle, on my sandwich.
